Justine Lord has worked for Overseal Natural Ingredients, part of the Naturex Group, as Talin® Business Manager for the last 3 years. Prior to this she has held a number of commercial and marketing roles at Overseal, Natraceutical and also at Kerry Ingredients.

Justine has a technical background and after graduating started her professional career as a food development technologist working for a number of food manufacturers and ingredients companies before making the move into the commercial world some 10 years later.

Her current role as Business Manager for Talin®, the name for Thaumatin, is an exciting one and coincides with an increase in the demand for natural ingredients.  Talin® is a natural multifunctional ingredient that primarily used as a flavor enhancer and flavor modifier and is itself naturally sweet.  Her challenge is to ensure that it is used in the best way possible – very often at levels that are far lower than would be expected!
